is in santa rosa where she's learned the name of that dead man. rita. >> reporter: frank, that car with a body stuffed in the trunk was parked across the street from sonoma state university. that's upset some students who just returned from winter break yesterday. >> i didn't know about that. so i think i'm concerned i didn't know. >> reporter: sonoma county sheriffs investigators say it shouldn't be alarmed. >> more than likely it happened somewhere else. >> reporter: sonoma county sheriffs deputies say they spotted the car here last night. it matched a car santa rosa police say was involved in a domestic violence case friday night. they saw blood in the front seat, opened the trunk and found a man's body inside. the coroner has identified that man as sean francis parker. investigators told me parker was the suspect in that domestic violence case and that they believe at least some of the blood in the front seat belonged to the woman who was the domestic violence victim. >> we've contacted that person. we don't believe this has anything to do with the prior domestic violence case. >> reporter

rosa is in there and fairfield is very close, it is going to be very, sunny, there are some high clouds and temperatures are inching up near the coast and bay, here is sal. >>> let's go to some live pictures. it looks pretty good on 880 and some of the road workup on high street is not causing any problems with traffic. 101 traffic does look good approaching the 880 split. let's go to breaking news. >>> right now several crews from fire agencies are battling a fire near the bridge. they say the fire is burning a large building right near the waterfront. we have a news crew near the bridge, a fire, we will have a live report coming up. >>> we are following a fire in sonoma county. a body was found in a car near sonoma university. the sheriff's office said they learned the car was linked to a man wanted for questioning by santa rosa police. they say the trunk was unlocked and the body was locked in a blanket. sheriff's are treating this as is suspicious. >>> a man jumped into the water to flee police. he has been missing since december 24 when he stopped him on suspicion of drunk driving.

this morning. some upper 40s still in santa rosa and fairfield. livermore right now checking in 50. downtown san francisco 51 degrees. forecast head lines for today, mostly sunny skies. a bit of some haze. tomorrow once again some patchy morning frost but it won't be as cold. no warnings or advisories to talk about. the weekend will be dry with still some patchy fog to talk about during the morning hours. as far as the temperatures from this morning, once again we're talking about some 20s out towards santa rosa, napa, fairfield, concord and morgan hill. in the upper 20s across these neighborhoods. high pressure developing off shore. you can see the storm track. not much of it. in fact, just a few high clouds out there. we will hold on to the dry weather pattern. as far as the warming that will continue with the afternoon highs and we will be talking more low 60s the next few days. and patchy morning fog. when you get this developing weather pattern, it is very stable and that allows the fog to form in the inland valleys. we could have a few patches over the next few mornings. in terms of hi

struggling in the 40s over parts of the north at santa rosa mid to upper 40s, walnut creek 49. 36 degrees right there at the top. 512 and sanare moan down into the south bay. 40s to low 50s outside for you. san jose 50 looking at 49 at fremont. 53 for sunnyville and along the peninsula at this hour. 51 degrees memo park. 54 at the hills. temperatures will continue to climb as we get into the afternoon, not by a lot, but again we don't have a warming trend underway, a look here at the satellite view, so a few high clouds just spilling over the bay area for today. these brought in by the flow at that ridge of high pressure we've been watching for the last few days, it is now edging inland and it is going to be bring us offshore breeze. you can see here from the arrows that where that flow sending us a few high clouds as well. for today following that chilly start as frost advisories, we're looking at slightly warmer temperatures for the afternoon, light wind and air quality will remain good to moderate. here is a look at the afternoon highs expected for today. 57 degrees in santa rosa. 56 f

in santa rosa. >> a sad ending for one marin county family. on christmas eve police pulled over anthony donaldson on suspected drunk driving. they say he took off on foot and jumped into a rain swollen creek near the college of marin. rescue teams and his family spent days searching for him, but it wasn't until yesterday his body turned up in that creek. >> investigators are looking into the cause of a fire that destroyed a home in oakland. it broke out about 9:00 this morning at a house on the 200 block of east 26th street. news chopper 2 flew over as flames and smoke were coming from the roof. firefighters say the home was unoccupied and there were no injuries. the fire had to be fought from outside because firefighter history difficulty reaching the flames because to the amount of personal items stored inside the house. no word yet on an estimate of damage. >>> the cold spell in the bay area is finally coming to an end. we'll hear from our chief meteorologist in a moment. first though, tom vacar is at a flower farm in petaluma and tells us why so many people are glad this told weathe

rosa. 40s around the bay. 37 grows in walnut creek. we have no advisories to talk about when it comes to the cold so that is a good sign. no frost advisories for the bay area, no freeze warnings for the inland spots. notice just a few high clouds coming in this direction. we have an offshore flow that has developed. if i back up the satellite radar, i'll show you where it's coming from. this ridge of high pressure so large, and you can see the circulation right around and coming into the bay area. this offshore flow is going to continue so we're going to be mostly clear. we're going to be chilly again tomorrow morning. we're going to be near freezeing and freezing in some of our colder spots but not as painfully cold as we have been. warmer afternoon and that will translate to warmer overnight low evens chully, as well. we will catch this warming trend and take it with us into thursday and then into the weekend even low to mid 60s in the forecast. gasia mentioned air quality will be an issue for tomorrow so with the clear skies, the cold conditions, we are expecting, you know, the inv
